Mihaly’s book “Flow” I read years ago and need to read again. Your reference to the “Swiss Cheese Calendar” is an excellent analogy of typical days of “interruptions interrupted by interruptions” (as I recall that saying). The idea of a “high flow cheese block” is humorously helpful. Maybe I need one of those Wisconsin cheese head hats for humorous concentration! 🧀

Seriously, your article is masterfully outlined.

The approach-avoidance framework is such a helpful rebrand. It’s much easier to solve a neurochemical conflict than it is to solve a "character flaw."
